Classic Madonna

Thank you Women's Wear Daily
A sneak peek at the costumes for Madonna's upcoming tour, and this gorgeous, mix of lingerie and menswear look, has just sold a lot of tickets... (not that Madge needs any help in that department)... but aren't we ready to see this Madonna again?
And it's the costume she'll 'strike a pose' to!

Majestic Crowns

Roberto Cavalli
Philadelphia is a wonderful eccentric place... fashion wise.  When I saw this Harrods facebook post, it jogged my memory about a guy who wore a really ornate crown on the El everyday!  .... and he wore it like a baseball cap, really casually.
(I'm sure it was purchased from a costume store, probably Baum's)
When he sauntered on the train, the mood was automatically lifted... all of the sudden the drudgery, and sour faces buried in their newspapers would become a trainful of happy, amused commuters... can't really explain how, but somehow it bonded us.  We were riding with the King! LOL

From Harrod's facebook page: In celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Harrods' Brompton Road windows currently feature 31 crowns designed by the world's leading brands.

Moore College of Art 2012 Fashion Show

As promised...

As soon as my pictures get organized,
I'll be sharing my thoughts/notes
 on Moore's Senior Fashion Show.

Paul Loftland Photography
Deorah Artazo' FML Dress - a young look I would have died for 10 years younger.  Love, love, love!  Perfect designer for a magazine editorial like V Magazine or Paper.

Paul Loftland Photography
A Perfect mix of prints and pops of color.... So Sophisticated and sooooo flirty! My wardrobe is in desperate need of everything sent down the runway by Jennifer Lackovic.

Paul Loftland Photography
Kathleen Yamaguchi's  light show!  I don't mean light as in light as a feather, the lights dimmed and Katie's models lit up!! Normally I would say, gimmicky, but this was so wearable and theatrical, perfect for a starlet lighting up her favorite night club.

Stay tuned for more.....

The Robot Sweat Shop

I'm so interested in Robert Morgan's Robot portraits! I feel like I want a bunch of them, hung gallery style in my office.  I feel so attached to all my machines.... especially my very old Apple... yes, I'm saving for a new Apple, but I'm going to be so sad to see my baby go. It's something about the Apple community, we become really bonded with our computers. LOL Do I love the movie WALL-E? Yes, yes I do.

Check out a few of my faves!!!

Emily George!

Last Saturday, I had the privilege to see Moore College of Art's Senior Fashion Show! Stay tuned I'm still organizing my pics, but I'll have my favorite designers posted within the next weeks.  Today I want to talk about Emily George who I happened to meet outside the tent right before the show.. loved her look... kind of a Rock and Roll Bettie Page.
..... And then...
the lingerie she sent down the runway!
She's definitely one to watch.

Thursday's Mother's Day Gift Suggestion

A great tote, and the satisfaction of supporting a fantastic cause!
Your Mama will be so proud!
Each FEED 10 bag sold provides 10 school meals to children through United Nations World Food Programme's School Feeding program. This popular bag is now in stock & available to order! BUY - $25
FEED began in 2006 when acclaimed model and activist Lauren Bush designed a bag to benefit the United Nations World Food Programme's (WFP) School Feeding program. As a WFP Honorary Student Spokesperson, Lauren visited countries around the world in Asia, Latin America, and Africa where WFP is operating and was inspired by the plight of the people she met on her travels. She took a special interest in WFP's School Feeding program, which feeds and educates hungry children. She first created the FEED 1 bag, a reversible burlap and organic cotton bag reminiscent of the bags of food distributed by WFP, to help raise funds and awareness around these school feeding operations. It was stamped with "FEED the children of the world" and the number ‘1’ to signify that each bag feeds one child in school for one year. And in 2007, FEED Projects LLC was founded by Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson to produce and sell these bags.

Each FEED 100 Bag will provide 100 supplements of Vitamin A through the FEED Foundation's Nutrients Fund.  BUY -$42

John Wind Charm Bar

Today was a test... Could Baby and I make it to a fashion event on our own? So proud to report... we did it!
*** So, the Style Shepherd 'location post' will be back!***
The John Wind Charm Bar at Joan Shepp, was quite the happening scene.  Designer John Wind was posted at the front window in front of a very retro-glam 30 foot tall fringe curtain, while a beautiful glamazon model stomped around the store showing off the best of Joan Shepp wares.... Look at her posing in the window!  (If you look close enough you can see me and Baby in the reflection.... and look at the print on that skirt!) Don't you love when a store/designer goes all out? We can shop anywhere, but how much fun is it to have the shopping experience... especially when it's this good!

You know me... go big or go home, so... no surprise, my absolute favorite John Wind design is this gorgeous statement necklace.  I love the texture and the dimension, it would look fab peeking out of a structured work blazer or on it's own, topping off an LBD.

...... And the all the fashion girls gather round the charm bar.

*** Never miss another Joan Shepp trunk show... or John Wind appearance ***

Kentucky Derby Fever

The horses, the colors, the roses!!
....and I got'ta thinkin'...
What accessories would I need to strike the perfect Derby pose?

John Wind Maximal Art Agate Racing Necklace

Low Luv By Erin Wasson Horse Bit And Coin Bracelet

Most of the ladies show up in a pretty ensemble... like a Kentucky Rose. And I love that! But for me, Churchill Downs congers up images of thundering hooves, bridle bits, and the roar of the crowd, so I want pretty, but I also want strong bold pieces.

I'll definitely get my picture taken in this Philip Treacy!!

Want to watch all the pageantry?
