Let there be light!

Last day in Jamaica.... ahhh bittersweet.  I love it here, but I really miss my Mac... but I also have a mission today, I need to get my camera out and take some pictures of the chandeliers. This is one of those missions that my Honey wants no part of.  He thinks people will look at me strange if I'm taking pictures of chandeliers when the view outside is so beautiful. So what, let'em look... maybe it will inspire them to take notice.  Someone took a long time to place these chandeliers just so... and I appreciate it.  Especially since they were a little different, not the normal sparkly crystals (love them too though).

*Side Note -  I'm a big fan of Joy Junket.  They've inspired me in many ways, but the posts I'm really drawn to are the ones about creating a beautiful environment for yourself.  Thank you, Joy Junket!

I find the proposed designs in the photos above "heavy". In my opinion, it is suitable for some old buildings in need of modern.

  8. My flat has just been renovated, so I'm left with plain white walls again. :) It's nice to be able to start from scratch and design exactly what I want, well within budget of course! I think my flat is a little small for any of these, but my favourite is the first one, the cut-outs make me think of Morocco for some reason, mint tea and tea light candles.

  11. I already follow, and my 'go to' for interior doesn't have a link- it's yard sales and thrift shops! I take pieces that 'speak' to me, my home deisgn is an eclectic mix of antique country and funky modern day- but somehow it all works! khaski78 at htomail dot com

  12. Rhonda- These are so cool and unusual!! Kind of a morrocan vibe in there- love!! seeeing a reflection of a chandelier in a mirror- is really just like FBAULOUS SQUARED! in our studio we have one hanging down in front of a mirrored screen- it really scratches the glamour itch! If your honey won't budge- maybe you need a car chandelier- or do you have a little closet or secret spot - wait a sec- the KITCHEN!!! I am feeling some inspired cooking with a chandelier-. One thing we have learned about working with the loves of our lives is that they might think they hate somthing- but if you look at enough diffeerent options- they might see somthing they actually LOVE- you never know? HAPPY chandeliering! Sarah
