Sherlock Holmes

I had a few hours this week to enjoy the movie Sherlock Holmes .... at home.  It was one of those movies that I really wanted to see in the theater, but... one thing and another, I never did. Seeing it at home though, gave me the opportunity to watch a scene over and over, as many times as my little detailed heart desired.
Anyone who has ... decorated their bedroom, planned a party, or designed a dress knows that success or failure lies in the right shade of blush, more pink than red, ..... the centerpieces have just enough greenery, .... and if I add one more bead to this hem, it will be to much....  Vision! Sherlock Holmes is a vision, of late 19th century London, gilded and gritty perfection.  I drove my honey crazy with the remote, pause, play, rewind, play, pause, play, rewind.... every ruffle, fragile tea set, scarf, pillow, tool belt, crisp white chambermaid's collar...  Fantastic!  I would have loved to sit in on those design meetings. Just thinking about how much research, and editing, re- editing, color swatches.... and story boards... I'm drooling, what a project to sink your teeth into.
