One of my most trusted fashion gurus, Nicole Gibson said it best, ................
'the talent yet to come from him was huge', and reminded me how fantastic Sandra Bullock looked in McQueen at the 2010 SAG Awards.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and video is worth....... so much more.
.....Recycling and Irving Penn imagery. We are so blessed to have lived in a time that holds the spirits of Alexander McQueen, Irving Penn, and Isabella Blow.
... To difficult to choose a favorite collection, but I do love a coronation robe.
Alexander McQueen's unencumbered creativity will live on in future generations of designers and artist.
John Wind ~ "Going to art school in London, 2 of the traits I admired most in the English were creativity and eccentricity, as in "English Eccentrics". In the fashion world, the designer of our generation who combined these two with more sass, style, verve, and guts than anyone is Alexander McQueen. So I am shocked and so sad to hear that McQueen died today at age 40. His creative legacy will survive."
Vogue Editor Anna Wintour -"We are devastated to learn of the death of Alexander McQueen, one of the greatest talents of his generation. He brought a uniquely British sense of daring and aesthetic fearlessness to the global stage of fashion. In such a short career, Alexander McQueen's influence was astonishing -- from street style, to music culture and the world's museums. His passing marks an insurmountable loss"
Catharine Malandrino ~ "Alexander McQueen's work and personality will stay forever unforgettable"
